50th Jamboree on the Air (JOTA)
19th-21st October 2007
We were operational as GB50NSS from our HQ between 1200 and 1600 (BST) on saturday 20/10/2007. Unfortunately we had very little success with HF but we did manange to make a few contacts on 2m and 70cm.
Our setup included a GP-15 mounted about 10m above sea level right next to the river Itchen. From the same mast as the GP-15 we had a G5RV running to a second mast. Radios were a Kenwood TS-2000 and Yeasu 857. With Mike (M1ARI) and Bill (G0) as operating the radios.
Next time we hope to operate for longer, have more success with HF and have more young people involved.
If you would like to know more about our JOTA setup please use the contact form.
